Re: [Simply Computers] Did I kill my USB keyboard?

Since no one replied, I thought I'd update this:
No, the keyboard worked on another tower in both Linux Live CD mode and on WinXP. Guess I'll ask over on Ubuntu if this is a bug with Zorin, or a USB quirk with all Linux.
I know pulling out a PS2 plug for mouse or keyboard and sticking in a USB one would allow me to keep working. Would plugging in the same keyboard in a different USB plug allowed it to work, if I would have had one available?
I looked at some WI-FI combos at Wal-Mart...the word chicklet came to mind. I'll continue to look...

Guess I'll be looking for a WI-FI combo unit now, since I kicked it out passing by, from my Dual-Xeon running Zorin Linux. I plugged it in again, no good, powered down, still no good. I tried an IBM model with no WinXP support for now, so at least the port is still good.

I plan on plugging the WI-FI combo into into a 4-port USB sharing device, so I can share it with some other towers.

Any thoughts, will the keyboard be good on another system? Is Logitech still a good brand with Linux, Windows, KVM or other sharing devices? I was hoping for a back-lit WI-FI keyboard, but I don't see many online.

Thanks,Joan in Reno
